A quick recap of the astounding cuteness that is Maliya.
Item #1 - "Hee-ho"
Maliya *loves* the song Mrs. Vandebilt by Wings. Last night at the wedding rehearsal, I had my brother play the song over the loudspeakers. As soon as it started, she got a surprised look on her face and shouted "Hee-ho!" She then proceeded to sing along to words she knows and dance for everyone's amusment, even going "Chhh!" when a distinctive cymbal hit occurs in the song.
Item#2 - "Scare-wy"
Amidst all of the dancin' and singin', my brother turned on a microphone from the back of the church and said "MALIYA" in a low voice. This startled her and she had to comforted. Everything was made better when we brought her the microphone and got her to sing "Jesus loves me" at the top of her lungs. We all laughed so hard our faces hurt. For the rest of the evening she would point to the stage and say "Scare-wy."
Item#3 - "Potty"
Maliya went "number 2" in her potty this week. As she skittered across the living room floor toward the bathroom, pants dangling around her ankles, we had no idea that this potty trip would be any different than the others. However, some tell-tale grunting (a sound we've come to recognize as a harbinger of an upcoming diaper change) let us know that this time was different indeed.
Item#4 - "Smart"
Maliya is just smart. No use in arguing about it. She's brilliant. End of discussion. Don't even pretend like you don't know it. Stop living a lie.
